Paris Fashion Week SS16

Perhaps the most anticipated week on the fashion calendar, Paris Fashion Week took over the French capital in late September with a week of unforgettable shows at locations across the city. Venues like the UNESCO building and Palais de Tokyo held presentations of the Spring/Summer 2016 collections that caught the attention of media and buyers from around the world.

Among the more than xyz designers on the official schedule this year was Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen, whose avant garde womenswear has been catching eyes and grabbing awards since the label's inception in 2008. With a mix of femininity and the cutting edge, Madsen's artistry shines through in each new collection and this season's was no exception.

Originally from Denmark, Anne Sofie Madsen has seen great success after returning to her hometown after stints in London working with John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. Since setting up shop with a studio in Copenhagen, the designer has also earned the support of DHL Denmark, which has helped her in both getting an online shop up-and-running as well as in the transport of her collections to Paris for each fashion season.

As a thank you, Madsen created a display for DHL's stand at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August that was comprised entirely of DHL shipping materials. It's the most unique creation she's had thus far – and our offices in Denmark are proud to be supporting her as she takes her talents abroad. It's just one of the ways that DHL offices around the globe are helping young fashion designers get a leg up.
